More on Southtown Centere
A few weeks ago, I walked around the new
Southtown Centere, and found some things like old drains and manhole coveres
overgrown by weeds, old parking stoppers.
There's also a big tree across the road from an
old Carter's lumber which is now called Johnson Acadamy.
A little further down the road, and you can see
new stores that were built since Southtown Mall was demolished, such as,
Walmart, Menards, Auto-Zone, Lounge Optical, Springleaf, Studio nails, Great
clips, and T-mobile.
in front
of the line of stores, by Lafayette Street, I saw some marking such as R/W on
cement pegs in the ground, and some more manhole covers.
A little farther down on South Phoenix Parkway,
There's the Public Safty Village built in 1991, an Ivy Tech Public Safty
Acadamy, and Southbrige Apartments. there is also a new rivergreenway as well.
